The Department of Theater has truly played a vital role in developing modern Korean theater. The faculty and graduates have been and still are leaders in the movement of contemporary Korean theater. The work that has been produced out of the department has set standards of excellence and creativity.
Students are taught the basic skills of production of set design, lighting design, costume design, and make-up. Those students who choose to study directing learn the fundamentals of production design but also get trained in dramaturgy, script analysis, and working with actors.
