  1. ① Mandatory Requirements: Number of credits earned in the previous semester
    • - Applicant must have 15 or more credits for AA programs and 12 or more credits for BFA programs. A work-study financial aid program is exempt
  2. ② Preferred Qualifications
    • - Outstanding academic record (GPA)
    • - Exemplary behavior in personal life
    • - Students in need of financial aid
Suspension and
revocation of
scholarship

① A scholarship can be revoked in the following cases

  1. 1. Taking a leave of absence without registering for classes
  2. 2. Being expelled
  3. 3. Committing a school offense subject to punishment of more than limited suspension
  4. 4. Committing a criminal offense off campus
  5. 5. Failing to attend school for more than one month without a reasonable excuse.
  6. 6. Engaging in academic dishonesty (e.g. cheating)
  7. 7. Engaging in behavior that hinders or damages the academic atmosphere
Payment of and
limitations on
scholarship
  1. ① The amount of scholarship money received from all sources cannot exceed a student’s combined tuition (with the exception of the work-study financial aid program, honorary ambassador and overseas internship scholarships and overseas training and performances).
  2. ② Those returning to school after a hiatus, transfer students, those who have been held back (including for graduation), and those subject to a punishment exceeding limited suspension cannot be considered for a scholarship until one semester has passed since the offense was committed. Those returning to school and transfer students can, however, apply for a work-study financial aid program.
Mandatory refund of
scholarship money
  1. ① A student must repay scholarship money to the school if he or she 1) drops out of school, fails to complete the current semester, or is subject to punishment exceeding limited suspension according to the related criteria of student affair rules.
  2. ② The President will determine the other details for refunding scholarships.
Selection of
honors students
  1. ① Review of applications and recommendations for candidates in each department to receive scholarships in each semester
  2. ② The student guidance committee considers the number of students to receive scholarships, the amount of funds, and the evaluation of each scholarship candidate
Please note
the following
  1. ① Care should be taken to prevent a student from receiving scholarship funds on behalf of someone who was disqualified due to low academic achievement
    (※If detected, both parties will be punished according to the regulations concerning student awards and penalties.)

Light of Arts scholarship
Students who received the Light of Arts citation while attending the school the previous semester. The citation aims to support and improve artistic creativity.

Work- Study
Financial Aid

Students doing assistant job in the administrative office of each department/school

Technical work-study scholarship
Students with special ability or those in need of financial aid who work for supplementary research and education in each department
(※ Place for working: supply room of each department, large lecture room(theater), work room, stage making workshop, and ATEC, etc)

Part-time work-study scholarship
Students receiving (special, general, technical) work-study scholarship who work part time
(place for working: library, computer lab, and administrative office, etc)
- Students get paid according to the number of hours regardless of GPA

General Students’ Association willing to do volunteer work, club association, representatives, school magazine, school broadcasting, school journal, board and representatives of each department

School Faculty and staff working at our school and attending our school (however, limited to night school)

- Freshmen: First, second, and third top students from foreigner special application (both parents are all foreigners) (however, only if there are over 30 students of volume of recruitment)

- Enrolled students: Students with GPA or the average from the mandatory subjects of the major higher than 3.0 (or whose grades exceed 80 percentile

Students with more than 100 hours of knowledge and talent sharing volunteer activities at public institutions or social welfare organizations (as of the time when they applied). However, credits earned from hours of volunteer work, performance in religious groups, or the other cases students get paid are all excluded.
