What is Overseas Student Training

The overseas student training program is managed by professors in the Department of Planning and involves the circulation, exchange and connected education of an advanced curriculum through overseas performance, major training, mutual manufacturing and sharing activities as well as field experience and employment in Korea and abroad. In addition, the groundwork is laid for communicating with art majors or artists from all over the world and expanding the artistic perspective. The torch relay for the 2012 London Olympics, mask dance performances at festivals, movie production by students from Korea and Japan, workshops and co-exhibitions in Korea, Japan and China, participation in a short-term workshop in Poland, and sharing activities and performances in China are examples. Requests are forwarded to the advisor and professors in charge at the beginning of the semester.

  • Major training: Project based on major (production, exhibition and performance)
  • Sharing activities: Talent Donation for sharing
  • Participation in performance: Join overseas performance for improving the capacity of participants and reputation of our school
  • Exchanging business: Global exchange and cooperation programs for cultivating globally recognized artists.

Whether to apply is determined by plans for application and budgets. Application for simple program such as overseas workshops is excluded from the target of application, and mutual projects proceeded by overseas universities and institutions (planning, manufacturing and performance) are all led by students in the form of talent-donation and sharing activities.
All of the professors in the department participate in the program and are selected by fair criteria. So criteria and method of selection and opinion from evaluators (every professor in the department) must be submitted.
