STUDY AT SEOUL ARTS

Introduction

Established in 1962, Seoul Institute of the Arts is a prominent educational institution specializing in the Arts. The school has nurtured many graduates who are actively working in art related fields within Korea as well as internationally. The Namsan campus in the heart of Seoul is used for presentation of arts productions and convergence with industry. The Ansan Campus opened in 2001 and is used for educational training, which aims to tear down barriers between disciplines, genres, and majors. The Institute continues to be a forerunner in globalization of Korean arts and creation of new forms of arts.

Courses - Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Associate Degree in Arts (AA) Programs

The Associate Degree in Arts Programs stress three years of hands-on learning for the fundamentals and skills. Students acquire basic learning and engage in production practice to learn the methodologies. Then, they perform or exhibit their work for evaluation.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Program is the professional program dedicated to expanding the artistic quality through one year of intensive learning. Students apply the skills acquired from our Associate Degree in Arts Program to create their own work through individual instruction of academic advisors and collaboration with other majors. By doing so, they explore new ways to apply their fields of study and achieve a professional level.

At the same time, they acquire vocational learning through field training in cooperation with various industries.
