In the School of Creative Performance, students of acting, dance, theater, Korean Music, applied music, dramatic writing as well as the School of Creative Media converge to produce performances and deepen their understanding of their own fields of study. Playwrights write the scripts; actors and dancers perform; musicians score and perform the music; directors and designers stage the performance; and arts managers plan and produce the work. Students of Korean Music and Applied Music collaborate with other ethnic musicians to create world music to be mastered or performed. Theater major students assist with the staging and arts management students coordinate the concert. Through cooperation students produce work in addition to deepening their understanding of their individual disciplines. BFA students have the opportunity to explore various facets of performance from reinterpreting the classics; to implementing moving images to performance; and telematically connecting various locations for intercultural collaborations. All the work created by the student can be added to their portfolio for reference as they enter the industry of their choice after graduation.
In order to respond to the trend of this era which is becoming more multimedia oriented day by day, one must integrate various media arts like text, images, and video. The new paradigm of art education and art making shall encourage experimentation and exploration across disciplines to transcend the existing art forms. With an innovative educational system, we aim to nurture professional artists who can provide vitality to Korean culture and lead the world as the arts rapidly evolve.

The students of the Theater Program receive comprehensive education and training in all facets of the theater and stagecraft. The mission of the Dance Program is to foster professional dancers through practical education of Korea's traditions, contemporary and applied dance styles. The Dance Program will nurture dancers, choreographers, and dance educators to spotlight Korean dance domestically and abroad. The students will be taught theory so that they can logically analyze Korea’s spiritual identity in dance. Internships are conducted so that students can be aware of the latest trends of the dance field.
The Acting Program aspires to foster professionals who possess the ability to work in various media including theater, musicals, motion pictures, and television. The program cultivates actors who actively utilize their imagination and creativity in the collaborative process. The multi-faceted education provides professional and practical training that reflects the field. In the performance area, students are trained in vocalization, speech, singing, acting, and movement for various types of live performing. In addition, student actors can explore acting roles in film, television, and other emerging media fields. There are also opportunities for internships with professional companies, masterclasses with teaching experts. Students who want to further their training can apply to the Bachelor of Fine Arts.
The curriculum of the School of Film and Media Arts has created a curriculum harmoniously combines practical training and theory classes. In-depth learning is provided by production classes divided into foundation, intermediate, and advanced. Student projects are selected through a film pitch process which allows them to experience competition in good faith ensures a higher quality production. Arts Management Program students are enlisted to play the role of producer. This gives them hands on experience of making a film. Faculty members are responsible for a single grade level.
The Broadcasting Program’s educational goal is to foster artists who will bring to the media industry our country’s intrinsic worldview and values that can be shared with and appreciated by the global audience. The program has created on campus the facilities that train students for the conditions of the industry. The faculty consists of industry professionals with a wealth of experience. Every year the graduation project screenings are held with graduates and executives of the television industry in attendance.
The advancements of science and technology has influence the arts. The arts has always depended on technology to contribute the development of richer means of expression. The Digital Arts Program of the School of Film and Media strives to foster artists who are creatively forward thinking and technologically adept. The Digital Arts Program is divided into subspecialties of Interactive Art and Creative Technology. Interactive Arts aims to foster digital arts experts who can create new forms of art making in the age of the fourth industrial revolution. Creative Technology intends to cultivate artists who can develop cultural technology that create a new genre of arts with sensors, digital circuitry, games engines, computer processing, robots, and megatronics.
With the roots based in the traditions of Korean music, the program fosters competency training in various instruments, vocal, and composition. The Korean Music Program strives to develop by adapting to the trends of world music. Practical training is provided for the various instruments and in the various styles of singing. Students are encouraged to explore art making and collaborations with other disciplines. The program’s mission is to modernize Korean music, so that it may have its place on the world music stage.
The Applied Music Program’s training is rooted in Korea’s traditional music and encourages pioneering in new media to establish a unique musical identity. Students are trained to be musicians in the ever expanding fields television, media, film, advertising, performance, and musicals. The Applied Music Program is divided into 4 major subspecialties, song, composition, performance, and electronic (sound design and dj-ing). Graduates have become singers, composers, lyricists, arrangers, and session musicians.
Students work across a variety of literary genres and polishing their Korean language skills. Students gain an understanding of Korean traditional and world literature. They apply those perceptions in a future-oriented manner to improve their creative skills. In response to the changing times, the program strives to cultivate artists that can work across various media. To achieve the educational objectives, students learn to comprehend diverse literary genres; hone writing competencies, develop analytical skills of literature; and acquire basic proficiency of editing and publishing.
The Dramatic Writing Program cultivates the next generation of writers through technical training and theoretical discourse. The program educates not only in the fields of theater, film, and television but also in the emerging new digital platforms. Graduates will enter the contents industry with the necessary skills but also with cultural identity and aesthetic sensibility.
The mission of the School of Design is to cultivate student creativity so that they can combine commercial viability with artistic expression. The curriculum is designed to reach this goal by teaching across disciplines, humanities, and social science. In order to prepare students to be professionals in the digital media fields, the program implements project oriented programs and institute-industry educational programs, In addition, the program strives to establish an inherent identity by instilling traditional aesthetics into modern design concepts.
The Photography Program fosters student artists who can contribute to arts and culture and the development of the industry by presenting a view of the world that is unique to Korea’s traditions. A photographer must possess a solid vision as well as technological expertise. In addition, a photographer must bear the capabilities to be a driving force in the information age of the 21st century. Cultivate emerging artists who possess a wealth of imagination and skills that utilize new media technologies that will integrate art, science and technology for the global stage. The Photography Program aims to foster student artists who will possess the practical ability to work across disciplines by deepening one’s understanding of photography and extending the knowledge to design, moving image, new technology, and planning. The program establishes a network with companies, institutions, and experts who of the field of photography, culture, art, and industry, and develops coordinated education and collaboration projects to hone students' practical job skills required by the industry.
The Spatial Design Program educates the students with specialized knowledge and skills to improve quality of life. To become a comprehensive designer, one must develop artistic proficiency, practical skills, and possess integrity through arts education. In the first year, students receive general education of interior design and learn of the importance of improving the environment. In the second year, the education revolves around developing creativity by exploring various methods of spatial design. During the third year, the students apply interior design theory with practical solutions to be prepared for the industry.
The Creative Advertising Program continues to develop into a form of media content that is beyond the level of sales communications. With the rapid development of media and the shifting paradigm of social culture, the role of skilled creators are in demand. In the Creative Advertising Program aims to foster professionals who 'creators who understand marketing’ and ‘marketers who understand the creative.‘
Promoting the nation’s artistic spirit and traditional cultural values into global cultural contents. Fostering producers of world-class culture and arts that lead and expand opportunities. The Arts Management Program has three educational goals to teach the process experimental and creative global cultural content.
