Education System of MFA program
- Our MFA program establishes an educational system aimed at cultivating advanced artistry and high-skilled talents, based on an integrated progression through the AFA, BFA and MFA programs.
- Through technical-based learning and study - focusing on the frequent use of MR, VR, XR, and other advanced media - students develop creative content production capabilities and practical convergence project design and implementation skills in a systematic curriculum.
3+1+2 Degree System Completion
- AFA Program(3 year course) aims to cultivate field-friendly technical talents. Organized into six departments and fifteen majors, the program strengthens foundational knowledge, theory, and technical ability, while offering practical tasks by each artistic field.
- BFA Program(1 year course) focuses on transforming students into field masters by exploring the convergence between art and technology. It aims to enhance creativity and convergence capabilities and is structured through School of Performing Arts and School of Media Arts, promoting collaboration, circulation, and integration education across genres.
- MFA Program(2 year course) aims to train advanced media content specialists by fostering expertise in media technology and convergence creativity education.
Collaboration·Circulation·Integration PACS Education
- PACS (Professional Artistic Competency System) is an educational framework developed by Seoul Institute of the Arts (SIA), grounded in the institution’s principles of comprehensive art creation. This system supports field-centered artistic education based on the National Competency Standards (NCS), focusing on cultivating artistic creativity, theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and aesthetic refinement through a uniquely developed curriculum.
- We pursue an educational model that “broadens affiliations and deepens majors” through collaboration, circulation, and integration education. This approach is designed to lead cultural and artistic innovation during the Fourth Industrial Revolution-surpassing the limitations of traditional creative arts education rooted in apprenticeship models. The MFA Program is positioned as a hyper-school production system, empowered by advanced technologies and deeper academic training, cultivating high-level professionals capable of creating globally competitive convergence content.
