Celebrating our 64nd anniversary in 2026, the Seoul Institute of the Arts and Dongnang Arts Foundation stand as the oldest private arts institution of higher education in Korea. Full Job Description: The Seoul Institute of the Arts, a top arts conservatory in Korea, is seeking applications for a Visiting Professor position- a one-year term appointment in the Acting program, beginning in March or August 2026. Responsibilities: Teaching Responsibilities include all levels of Movement and Physical Training for actors. The ideal candidate will bring broad industry experience, professional connections, and a passion for skillful teaching, who will work closely with colleagues to ensure the Acting program offers comprehensive training in areas such as actors' movement, stage combat, circus acts, percussive body expressions, and other forms of physical exploration. The selected candidate is expected to teach courses including but not limited to Physical Training for Actors I~V. In addition, they will contribute to deparmental service and help strengthen the program’s ties to international collaboration and the development of a visual archive of actors' physical work. Required expertise in two or more of the following areas is required: physical theater, mask work, stage combat, clowning, mime, circus acts, musical theater choreography, and viewpoints training. Required Qualifications: •A record of distinguished professional experience at a regional or national level •A minimum of 3 years of college level teaching in the aforementioned disciplines •A demonstrated passion for undergraduate theater training and the ability to provide exceptional instruction •An MFA in Acting, or a related field (Extensive professional and/or teaching experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree) •Proven ability to thrive in an intensive, collaborative conservatory environment Desired Qualifications: • Professional experience on both on stage and screen • Prior experience in higher education preferred Application Process: A Complete application should include a letter of intent, a curriculum vitae, and contact information for three professional references. 4. Salary and Contract Period Information
① Salary: In accordance with internal regulations (Determined based on experience and evaluation results) Commensurate with experience and salary grade
② Period of Employment: March 1, 2027 – February 29, 2028 (one year).
Foreign nationals will be appointed on a non-tenure track basis for a one-year term. (March 1, 2027 – February 29, 2028). Reappointment and other personnel matters will be handled in accordance with the Faculty Personnel Regulations.

9. Further Information
① Notification of Results: Candidates will be notified individually. The Institute reserves the right not to fill the position if no qualified candidates are identified in the relevant field.
② Document Requirements:
- All submitted documents should be original, and certificates must be issued within the last three months.
- Note: If copies or unofficial documents are submitted, the original official documents must be provided upon appointment.
③ Applicant’s Responsibility: The applicant is responsible for providing complete and accurate documentation. Experience claims without supporting evidence will not be considered.
④ Foreign Language Documents:
- Certificates issued in a foreign language must include an apostille or be notarized by either the Korean consulate in the issued country or the consulate in Korea.
